The great debate for Def Leppard is whether this record or Hysteria is the better of the two. Why fight about it? They are both fantastic in their own way. This is a very clean pressing with a good soundstage but I really wish they would have stretched it over at least three sides instead of two. I feel like there is just a little missing that a less compressed wax might have revealed. Regardless, this is a fantastic presentation of this album.

This is a really good remaster. In contrast to my original LP, it lacks just a tiny bit in dynamics: it's a little brighter and lacks a tiny bit of the original ooomph, but it's close. A worthy reissue and remaster imo.

This is a superb reissue the lp is clean and flat!!!
By the sound i was very surpriced!! Warm full and fat sound even in the high areas there was no harsnes imo superb mastering

Does anyone know where/who cut this and where it was pressed? I would imagine an original HW (Howie Weinberg) Masterdisk will be hard to beat. Thanks!

on closer inspection my copy looks like they played frisbee with it first. anyone else have scuff marks galore? there's also a line going all the way across on side 1. might have to return.

Very nice, clean pressing. I’ve been looking to replace my old original copies for some time. Still… I give this 4/5 stars. It’s quieter than the original, for sure. Sounds great! But the original was a hotter mix. This is hard rock, so this record should bang! But… turn the volume one level higher on this one. The cover art is Very dim and less vibrant than the original! I have a near mint original and comparing the 2 side by side, the colors were much brighter on the original. The building (for example) is bluer on the OG press. I’m swapping out covers to solve that, cuz my OG cover is Mint. My favorite 80’s album by a hard rock band. Lots of memories tied to this album for me. I remember begging my Mom to buy this record for me at Sears back in ‘83. Def Leppard’s Best in my opinion.
