Reviews
- This is the best CD Devo has made since 1981's New Traditionalists - 30 yrs ago! Cuts like Fresh, Human Rocket, Don't Shoot (I'm A Man), and more compare to their 80s output but made for 2010 - esp the tough, propulsive Human Rocket - which is like Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA meets Going Under made for the 21st century. Should have been a single/video. Maybe soon? For a band that hasn't released a new studio album in 20 yrs, this was really a return to form the Spud Boys and their longtime rabid fans can be proud of - truly Something for Everbody!
- This was a great comeback album for Devo. I think this album will help the group garner more fans, as it has tracks such as "Fresh", that fans of other music genres will like. I was very glad when this came out, since Devo hasn't released anything in a long time. Devo's early stuff is great, but if you ask me, "Fresh" is on par with "Whip It". I suggest that you pick this album up, even if you are new to listening to Devo. You'll love it.
- I've never been a big fan of DEVO, but this album surprised me. It took twenty years to achieve greatness, but they made it. Such a different take on making an album gives a sense of acceptance of ideas and notes that make a corporate album. New style, new approach, new hats. This album is sure to be a breath of Fresh air to the music industry.
