- In the description on Raster's BC page it says "Music programmed, mixed and mastered by an algorithm", which is a funny way to spell Uwe Schmidt. Nonetheless, who - or whatever - had their finger in that pie: it's damn good!
At first it comes along like icecold droid stompy, but soon after the polyrhythms generate some decent heat. It doesn't matter whether you perspire robot oil or meatbag sweat, sure enough it ain't gonna be "cold" when you are willing to follow the machine mantra.
For me this is one of the best albums of 2022. It is indeed an *album* as if made from one piece, but also its pieces flawlessly do - most notably by not just sounding like slightly different iterations of the same thing. Each track works. No clunky edges at all. By disassembling it even further, I found loads of shots and loops to like and tinker with to eternity and beyond.
When too busy being lazy, plain press play + repeat to reduce the amount of robowalks towards the CD-Unit. I learned having it on repeat inflicts almost no harm for at least a few laps.
