Well done Tess...this is a superb album and easily the best of her two official solo albums. The group of players sound more like the drone and fuzz heavy heard on the two Anton albums, but despite the overall vibe being somewhat familiar there is more variety in the music than those two Newcombe records. Tess' songwriting also continues to grow and mature.
I picked this album up at Rough Trade in London when visiting as I have yet to see it available in the States. Sound wise is very flat, clean and quiet. Definitely sounds more 3-dimensional than my initial listens on Spotify.
I know there are some shows planned for UK and Europe later this year...come tour the US, Tess! The West Coast, in particular would welcome you with open arms (as would, I am sure, Brooklyn).
