Amazing album with peerless playing that you don't have to be stoned to listen to at all. A masterpiece and not just of its time. It is a miracle that Shakti have just put out an album in 2023 with John McLaughlin in his 80s and it features no diminution.

An absolute masterpiece. Mystical inspiration throughout. A must have for all the connoisseurs of Indian music. Surely the pinnacle of John McLaughlin musical art with Shakti. You will never be tired of listening to this LP

Quality of musicianship is top notch. Is this an album I want to listen to? No. And I LOVE indian pop music. I watch Indian movies all the time.

Here's the problem - it's basically jazz. Just like Mahavishnu Orchestra. It's amazing, but - not something I would listen to a lot.

It reminds me of this one classical indian music concert I went to in Hawaii one time with a Sri Lankan friend of mine who was totally into the group. The period of repetition that occurs in this form of music is so long, I lose the train of thought. My Sri Lankan friend said - he had never noticed before - because he had always been stoned at the concerts. So - it's that sort of music. It's good, but intense - and you probably should be stoned to enjoy it fully.
