- I’m not sure why, but most clear vinyl that I own often does not have the best sound quality. I was hesitant to purchase this boxset, but it was on sale for a good price. I’m happy to report that each record in this set sounds phenomenal - particularly Stratosphere and Contemporary Movement. I feel I got lucky to get this incredible band’s early material at a reasonable price.
- i've only spun my stratosphere and contemporary movement records so far but both are rather shit fresh from the sleeve. a lot of crackling and popping. stratosphere came slightly warped. i suppose the crackling is a nice touch if you want a more nostalgic feel for the music but i'd rather have it be free of defects. echo, bravo also not on stratosphere which is a shame.
the records themselves are real pretty, but i tend to be biased towards clear colored ones. - records themselves are perfect but the sleeves bow very easily and as a result the seams are kinda messed up.
- My version of this doesn't have the booklet - when I asked Numero, they said the repress doesn't have the booklet... anyone else have this issue?
- Edited one year agoThe vinyl looks amazing and sounds pretty good, but like the Gold Dust version, all the LPs except for Transmission, Flux we’re slightly warped. It was bad enough on Stratosphere to cause the slightest bit of audio warping (which actually gave it a really cool, subtle effect that I enjoyed) as well as some surface noise. That being said, it’s not terrible and doesn’t take away from the music, I even got this for $30 cause I work at a record store, so definitely can’t complain. My only other problem is that Echo, Bravo isn’t on Stratosphere, which probably couldn’t be helped. Regardless, buy it!
- these look absolutely stunning in real life, they might be the clearest records i've ever seen. mine are perfectly flat too, so i've got no complaints there. so glad this got repressed, it's well worth the money!
