Recommendations
Reviews
- A wonderful mix of sounds and grooves, presenting the state of art in 1996. The tracks still sound fresh and driving in 2023. I love the (fake?) swing bass (on Rico's Helly and others). Some tracks have this standing-fully-on-the-brakes dub mood, pure slow down. Surely a milestone in the IntelligentDrugMusic area.
- was always a difficult album to love at the time but i stuck with it and many memories of playing Paisley Dark coming down for the wigged out synth. a record of ambition, thats what it should be about and of course RIP Weatherall. x
- The King Mob file a reference to Grant Morrison's Invisibles comic? Perhaps knowing how well read Weatherall is.
Great album, this era Emissions/Swordsmen and all is just superb.
