It looks like Optimal media GmbH has a problem. Be aware about German manufacturer. Do not buy this SACD in Germany at all. They are selling this title as an SACD but this is not. All you buy is an ordinary CD, 1 layer only, even if you can see on the cover you are buying an SACD, 2 layers. This one I bought at Media Markt recently. I am looking for an answer from the manufacturer than I will tell you more.
I was unable to get my Oppo BDP-103 to recognize this disc as an SACD/play the DSD layer. The player handles all of my other SACDs without issue, but would only play the (HD)CD layer on this one. I returned the disc and picked up a copy of release 1237285 instead, which the 103 recognizes and plays correctly.
I am unsure if my issue was a problem with the player, or if this Optimal-pressed disc is mislabeled and actually just a red book CD.
