A grower. When I first bought it maybe 25 years ago because of the great cover I regarded this as an exploitation psych venture and sold it straight away. Today, I think it is a genuine major label psych classic in the Deep (Psychedelic Moods) realms. Although some of it is quite pretentious, much here has a really stoned and 'authentic' feeling rarely found on major label records; even the Vanilla Sludge cover is great. Should be checked out by any US psych fan. And again: Imagine this would be a private press...
