- It's been a long time since I placed this album again on my soundtable, and holy father: I miss those times and that sound so much! The thing is a bomb from front to back, right from the middle of the golden Age, Sensei and the blessed Tame One are on fire, their dynamics are absolutely fantastic, they mesh together like gears, the beats are massive, without destroying the balanced character, they roll along extremely bass-loaded, the sampling feels relatively economical, but still full, filled and still elegantly complete, often through the aforementioned use of depths, resulting in a rich sum, thankfully beautifully modeled in this case by a juicy pressing. A masterpiece of 90s hip hop all around, from bombs like "C'mon Wit Da Git Down", "Wrong Side Of Da Tracks" to the Redman produced "Cummin' Thru Ya F-kin' Block" or "Dynamite Soul"!
This whole lp is dope! Every single track is a gem most forgotten about sadly. The beats, lyrics and vibe represent the 94 era of real hip hop. If you want the ultimate underground album with no fake ass lyrics/lame beats look no further...it's hard to find anything as dirty and so fucking pure. (Maybe with the exception of Das Efx or Pharcyde) But still this is one lp you need to own. Especially for "Wrong Side Of The Tracks" but all the tracks are wicked! No Fillers!!!
