Superb pressing to my ears, zero surface noise, only minor complain is that volume is a bit low, still absolutely worth it, get it now before price will skyrocket...

My copy has CB in the deadwax, not BG. Is this a different variant?

You just got to hear the MOFI pressing. It is stunning. I never heard anything like it. I have BIA Stan Ricker WB pressing and that's awesome too. I just bought the 2LP On Every Street and thats fantastic. Some people seem to be unhappy with all the modern pressings and I agree some can be flawed but I ask myself, what turntable, amp and speakers are they listening to the vinyl on? Not everyone has hi quality gear, so it's hard to know.

I have to disagree. I own around 5 vinyl pressings of Love Over Gold and here's my subjective view of this remaster. Yes, its a clean remaster (it is from Bernie Grundmann after all) and the bass goes deeper and the highs are pretty sharp. But, if you, like me, own an original UK pressing and compare the two, then the original is more open, more airy, more involved. Compare the climax on Telegraph Road and you should notice the drama involve you more than this remaster. Ask yourself a question - who mastered the original release - answer, the great Bob Ludwig. Then ask another question, why would this NEED remastering at all, given that Ludwig did a superb job in the first place? Answer, to sell the album all over again of course. I'm not dissing the remaster out of hand completely, it's good - just not as good as my UK original.
A word about the vinyl - well, it's OK, but yet again, too many pops and crackles at various places to warrant it being classed as an audiophile release.
If you can pick up a good (and I emphasise good) original UK pressing of Love Over Gold - please use that one as your reference point (for vinyl anyway).

Top notch, hands down one of the best sounding pressing in my collection. No surface noise, dead silent vinyl, glorious SQ, just as any other WB reissue. It is really a shame that they don't press this anymore, it beats a GZ pressing at any day.

Outstanding pressing once again from Pallas. This once again is 'THE' one to get. Highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning pressing! Quiet background, rich and dynamic sound that is giving justice to this historical album... It's like going back in time when I was a teenager, listening and falling in love with Dire Straits all over again. This pressing is a must have. Highly recommended!

There is some subtle pops on my copy. Other than that SQ is excellent. It's a pity bcs of some noise.
