I downloaded and played the digital file in WAV that came with the purchase of the vinyl and wasn't that impressed. Returning for a second listen on vinyl this time my mind has changed a bit about this. For one the sound is fantastic and really adds to the enjoyment. Sometimes the best music doesn't hit to hard the first or second time. I'm going to give this a few more spins and I have a feeling I'm going to be happy I made the purchase.
Interesting at points, boring at others, almost sounds weird for the sake of being weird. Has elements of third world, glitch, abstract drone / ambient and more but isn't really any of those things. The kind of record I would put on to piss off my girlfriend. Not really a repeated listen kinda of thing for me.- Great record and one of West Mineral's finest. Also, this is still readily available from Boomkat for like $23 but some prick already has it listed here for $62. Wish Discogs was proactively against blatant price gouging like this.
Iggy is the mf champ these jams go wayyy too hard- A brilliant sophomore release for MWW and West Mineral Ltd.
