Four Tet's remix of Aphex Twin's untitled first track from Selected Ambient Works 2 is a work of unmitigated genius. It was my first brush with Four Tet and is still one of my favourite tracks by him.
I like the rest of this album. It's a brave selection, not, as Beneffeverscent notes, an obvious one. Warp show their colours here as ever. Even though this is part of a larger retrospective, they don't rest on their laurels in any way, choosing instead to tinker with the magic formula to see what comes out. Not all of it is perfect, but hey, that's experimental music for you. Enjoy!

Sometimes I feel like this is a rather spotty collection but sometimes it all sounds good. At the very least there are a few unquestionably fantastic tracks on this LP and it's nice that they aren't necessarily feature works of the Warp Big Boys (afx, autechre, boards). Worth checking out.
