This record is lit. The older Muse offerings are kind of formulaic. I think they really tried for something fresh with this one. And it was on the “clearence” section, that alone tells you what people like to listen to these days. Now regarding vinyl quality etc. It does not have any of the bells and whistles like HQ vinyl, 180gr vinyl, whatever but you knew that already. It is beautifully pressed. Sounds clean and clear. A joy to blast at higher volumes should you must.

Скудное полиграфическое оформление не соответствует этому шикарному музыкальному материалу, как и в предыдущем альбоме. Хотелось бы побольше пафоса, ведь в музыке его в избытке.

I bought this, and then returned it before I left the store

        Good choice in my opinion

My black copy is a little bit warped, but still playable...the biggest issue is that side 1 is pressed a little bit off centered, so the last track (Ghosts) is a pain to listen to. Seems like the quality control was not taht good during the pressing process.

It's absolutely NOT a great sounding vinyl. Yes, I'm an audiophile, but even my wife can tell that the sound is blurry right from the very first track. I'm using Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge. I was going to buy the collector's edition, which is twice the price, but am glad that I didn't.

The sound of the drums/cymbals is too compressed to my ears. Metallica's album with the SF symphony orchestra doesn't have this problem, and is way better sonically speaking. Having said this, it's still listenable and this album is still better than Placebo's 2022 album. Music wise, I like it. It's definitely the same Muse!

This album is about 3-4db louder than most of my other albums. I don’t blame RKS at Sterling for that. Granted, the vinyl mastering is much better overall with dynamics vs the streaming version. The soundstage is a bit lacking with so much of it living between the two speakers. The instrument separation is very good though and overall the clarity is great.

As for the pressing- pretty quiet and not much surface noise in the quiet passages. So overall the pressing is very good.

Music - I like it. It’s their best since Resistance, but it isn’t better than Resistance or Black Holes. A few of the tracks (halloween) and We are f***ing f***ed must have been fun to write/perform, but to me they are the weakest tracks on the album.

The last track sums up 2020, 2021 and 2022 perfectly.
