- Edited 4 months agoA lot of places seem to say this wonderful record was released in 1969, but it does say in the liner notes that Roland Cazimero was 21 years old when it was released; then, when he passed away in 2017, all the tribute articles said he was born in 1950. Maybe the liner notes are wrong, but I’m curious whether aficionados of Hawaiian music know if the 1969 release date is absolutely confirmed, or if it’s possible this LP is actually from around 1971. (Also, I’ve stared at a LOT of album photos from the era ;-) and my gut says these pictures feel more 70s than 60s.)
