The panning on this release is exactly the same as the OG stereo release. It’s just the way it was originally mixed. This is the best sounding pressing I’ve heard. Bernie Grundman does it again! Amazing album.

This album sounds fine to me, I have several Jazz albums that favour the Left Channel slightly but if it bugs you that much hit the Mono button. Sound Quality is as good as any Music Matters pressing at 1/2 the price. Also I have several Trane albums, this is my new favorite yet it's not in his the top 10. If you like Mr.Coltrane and want great sound quality cheap, pick up this one😎

Its not the best Stereo mix, but instruments are not just left and right. You can hear them somewhat in both channels. This should also be less bothersome with Speakers.
Its not like you have much else to choose from, only these Rhino and ORG Music Grundman Stereo cuts if you want all analog. Or go hunting from a Mono original.
Speaking of which might not even be a dedicated Mono mix. If its just a fold then you might as well press the mono switch on your amp or other and get the same effect.
Considering it being pretty binaural, doing so works well.

bernie grundman remastered hendrix if my memory serves me correct it was a 2lp set might have been jimi hendrix blues sadly it was digitally remastered so i sold it.i dont want sonically inferior digital vinyl with multiple criminal overdubs for my so called listening pleasure vinyl = exact analogue master or no sale...

Bad stereo scene: piano and saxophone in the left chanel, bass and drums in the right one - nothing between them. Unpleasant especially on headphones. As with some other LPs from Atlantic, the double-bass lacks the profoundness., so the CD sounds better. On my copy with same barcode, on the back cover it is wrote "Manufactured in EU". This release seems identical with John Coltrane - Coltrane Jazz
