cv313 – Stained Glass

The record arrived today and I'm slightly confused by the record sleeve, the vinyl grooves are exposed to the plastic sleeve with the large cutout? I nearly immediately put it into a paper sleeve as to protect the grooves of the vinyl for such a special record. I could go on about the productions on here forever, some of the most dreamy, subtle and atmospheric dub techno in my purchase collection this year. All four versions are entirely unique and varied in their respective sound designs and the mastering is unquestionably brilliant coming from Pole what would you expect? This could potentially be my favourite 12" release this year, we'll see what the remainder of 22 brings us.

Just arrived today, beautiful looking and nice sounding record, but the sleeve this was sent in is silly (it looks like the circle cut out in the middle, the one you can normally read the label from, is the size of a 10 inch record), although it does come in a plastic sleeve, a paper sleeve with a normal cutout would've been better.

This arrived in perfect condition in few days past, I've truly spent an extended amount of time listening. All I can contribute is that this particular release has had an irreversible effect, I want to keep putting the tone arm back to listen again! This may end up my most listened to release this year, Rod and Stephen together are so much better than apart, just listen. Hope there's some conclusion to this project they've created, unlike so many I've been hoping would eventually materialize.

Since the digital release of Stained Glass I listen to it constantly. My physical copy arrived today in the post and it's so beautiful. One for the ears as well as for the collection. A real beauty.
