Everlasting tone has quickly become one of the best chillout works for me. I've listened quite a lot of similar of albums, and this is one of those, that you simply can't grow tired of. When I finally came to know that this was the project of - no one other than - the man behind perhaps the best psychedelic trance act of all time, Electric universe, I surely wasn't surprised. From the start, this has been in my permanent playlist, and it is something so soothing and gently sweeping, that it works particulary well as sleeping music. Fortunately I got hold of a CD copy of this brilliant masterwork, because Spotify has decided to exclude it from their selection. Well, fuck them. Digitalisation is a huge pile of foul-smelling horse's shit. Now I can finally enjoy this blissy paradise at the most highest possible sound quality, whenever I like, not when some internet stream community somewhere decides so :P

Man it's such a good album. Nice and deep vibration
Doesn't become boring for me after 5 year non sop on my portable device.
I also like his downtempo stuff better.

Galaxy is the chillout and downtempo project of Boris Blenn, the German composer behind psy-trance project Electric Universe. With his fourth Galaxy album he produced an absolute brilliant album, an ambient music milestone, a true chillout classic. This album is a goldmine and has the potential of becoming one of your most favorite albums ever!

Finally, a new release by Boris Blenn's Galaxy moniker! Probably most famous for his Electric Universe work, in 2004 Galaxy shifted directions musically with the very well-received "Science of Ecstasy," much more chill and downtempo than previous Galaxy releases. As the years passed it seemed more an dmore remote Blenn would return to Galaxy but luckily for fans of the genre, he has, and what results!

"Everlasting Tone" is among my favorite albums of 2010 and in my opinion, Galaxy's best album. All of the tracks on here are very good - you can pick a random track and it would stand out on the majority of chill albums. In order, I would say my favorite tracks are 1, 5, 11 and 10. The title track is a great opener, it has that warm anthemic opener feel the way "Sol" on "Movements" did. "Including This" veers toward IDM, while "Flight of the Phoenix" has a really distinct atmosphere to it - beautifully drowsy and take-notice beats. "Highlight Diver" is a little more uptempo and works in more of a crescendo than some of the other tracks. "Wavemode" is a drifting, soothing track with a definite aquatic mood to it.

The tracks I enjoyed the least are probably 2 and 6, but both tracks, particularly 6, could've been better if they were longer and had more development. Nothing much to criticize here though. If you're a fan of this kind of music, "Everlasting Tone" is one of those releases you should give a chance.
