My copy played great w/o cleaning. I just wiped off the dust with a brush. Nice and flat, and warp free, but.... Mine has the B side label on both sides of LP1. Not the end of the world, and kind of funny, so I decided to keep it as a mislabel/misprint. At least the the songs are all correct. LP2 is labelled correctly.

Although this is a fine compilation, the mastering on the individual Abbey Rd album cuts (pressed at Optimal), are a lot clearer - this release sounds slightly muffled. It’s also very noisy. Disappointed this is not a gatefold release - you will eventually end up with split seams. Had the record been pressed at Optimal in Germany, one might have ended up with something a lot more satisfying.

I own the old Avalon Album from 1978 and compared some tracks. It's definitivly a win. Crystal clear voices and instruments with much more outline. A realy fine pressing without any clicks and pops. Of course the records got a wet cleaning before playing. They did a fine job at Abbey Road.

I agree with jkoblick. This is a fine, fine pressing. Very clean, great presence. I'm sure source was digital, given history of pressing. However this is not just a large cd, and I can identify the sound as true to the original albums. Of course I am no longer pushing the sound out of an AR changer thru a pair of massive JBLs. Wink. Pricey, tho.

This miles at Abbey Road half speed sounds fantastic. Roxy at it best. Vinyl is flat, quite and centered. Jacket quality is amazing and two sets of sleeves anti-static and song lyrics on the others. If you like the hits and some deep tracks it's well worth it.
