- Edited 2 months agoThere's a new 2024 press with matte cover and slighty darker contrast cover artwork (the black border is noticeably darker). the runouts are FOG 001 A C47(scratched out letter here) and FOG 002 B C47(scratched out letter here) (edit: I've learned this etching means it was made by Cutting 70)
- The quality of this bootleg is "what people expect to be a really good reissue". It’s really TOP quality that's for sure. Actually, it looks like the "official" issue. Fantastic quality of print/cover, poster, inner sleeve + sound - that's the truth. Maybe one of the best bootlegs I have seen in the past decade if we speak about quality!
- I bought two copies of this release, one from eBay (Sep 2022) and one from Discogs (Feb 2023). First has a matte jacket and second has glossy. The print quality is nearly-identical on both (the contrast is slightly better on the glossy, but you can only tell if you put them side-by-side). For those interested, I confirm that the quality of this release is amazing in all respects. You can immediately tell that a lot of effort has been put into this bootleg. I generally don’t recommend bootlegs, but in this case, I’d make the ("what they were thinking") official reissue a frisbee and stick with this one!
- Definitely a killer unofficial release and one you must get! All the artwork is super high quality and accurate to the original! I am someone who never goes for a unofficial release unless it is essential! This LP sounds good! Plenty of crackles and pops on my LP but they are pretty easy to ignore and expected from a unofficial release. Besides not like official releases are any better these days! So happy to own this classic Black Metal behemoth on wax finally in a good presentation! Every song is a great one, and the writing and production on here are perfect in my opinion! Grab them wherever you can find them before they are gone for good! I sure as hell know the official label will not be doing original stuff like this anytime soon or maybe ever again.
- Edited 2 years agoPerfect reissue! Finally! Dont hesitate and if you have opportunity buy it. Original artwork is keeping spirit of that times. Thumbs up!!
- Edited 2 years agoI've both releases, Napalm's 2021 reprint and this oneand they sound the same on the turntable, except for some more flattened frequencies.
The artwork is well reproduced unless for the sideprint that miss.
A great choice to spend not a big amount of money to obtain a timeless masterpiece. - Edited 2 years ago2 different sleeve editions of same pressings: matte & glossy.
I think the matte edition came first in early autumn 2022 September/October. I bought glossy edition in November/December 2022. Same layout but slightly different colour shades. The matte edition coversleeve is like
same quality as Burzum 2022 replicas. Glossy is nice too, but my personal opinion the (first?) matte
edition was looking more "professional". - Really well made bootleg! They really put effort into this. No need to make rainbow coloured double LP`s in gatefolds when the original wasn`t such either. I bet that most people would rather buy this one than the reissue. I really hope that they make more of these cause this album should not be expensive or hard to find.
