Reviews
- The original mix is very 'soft' sounding, with hypnotizing chords in the background, some vintage sounding sound effects and a beautiful lead melody on top. The lead melody is similar to synthesizer/keyboard solos in the 80's, but it doesn't sound cheesy and it still has that soft sound like the rest of the synths (the slow arpeggio bass and the chords).
Markus Schulz' remix uses the same bass and that same lead melody (with a different sound), but the drums are a bit more prominent.
Whereas the Original Mix increases the chords' volume in the build-up, Markus Schulz' gated chord synths stay a bit quiet. Together with Markus Schulz' ambient pad in the background, the Coldharbour Mix sounds 'deeper' than the Original Mix.
Both tracks are great, but the Original Mix is my favourite.
The hypnotizing breakdown with the pay-off of the drop is what makes it so beautiful.
