Edited 2 months agoOutstanding release and pressing. Instant favorite this year, soon as it came out; and the vinyl does not disappoint.
(A touch of surface noise here & there during the quiet parts on my first play-through, but nothing distracting during the music).
The mix & mastering are delicious -- nice and clear, punchy, instruments perfectly placed -- all that, and it doesn't hurt that the music rules.
(I'm assuming the noticeable distortion on the kick drum on certain tracks was on purpose? I turned the bass all the way down on my EQ to check, and it was still there. Would have to compare the digital release to check.)
Anyway. Don't sleep on this one!
Top notch cooking coming from the kitchens of Melbourne. Another banger of an album, and a fantastic pressing to push it to the top as well!
Brilliant! what we have come to expect from Surprise Chef. Soundstage is excellent lots of 8x4 o'clock moments. Crystal clear guitar and lovely seperation. Excellent!- Mine sounds pretty good. Had to clean it after I found a short n curly hair on my record as soon as I opened it.
