Yeh - what every you do do not buy from SPITtheROCKINdog - he's selling dud copies - marked as NM or M- but full of crackles an pops - and he shipped in very bacd packaing when he could spend 50p on proper mailers. Worst of all - the weird plastic sleeve he puts it into - is wet and moit - this guy give a bad name to genuine vinyl sellers.

Avoid SPITtheROCKINdog - he's a crook selling substandard vinyl .

This 1987 copy sounds amazing and clear like it’s still brand new. Definitely great quality and one of his best albums

Hold this European press having a misprint. A side label is printed on both sides with the right music. Haven't found any info on this? Any idea if this is a common mistake?

I can't believe after all these decades this vinyl is still silent and amazingly dynamic.
If you can find a good copy it's a keeper.

Is my second-hand copy worn out or do the inner tracks suffer on both sides from inner groove distortion in general? I usually don't have problems with that on my setup.

Bad is the seventh studio album by American pop singer Michael Jackson, released in September 1987 (the edited version in Europe, not in the UK -it occurred in August-), five years after the impressive success of the best-selling album in the world of contemporary music history, Thriller. The LP in question consists of ten unreleased tracks (except for Leave Me Alone, only available on CD) comprising musical genres as diverse as pop rock, dance pop of the time, synthpop and rhythm and blues, being one of the first work using innovative technology instrumental arrangement, called 'Acusonic'. This work brought him to Jackson five consecutive number ones on the Billboard charts (a record never achieved until then), thanks to the songs I Just Can't Stop Loving You, Bad, Man in the Mirror, Dirty Diana and The Way You Make Me Feel. Bad sold, approximately, around thirty million copies worldwide, consecrating Jackson as, presumably, the most outstanding artist in the eighties, winning two Grammy Awards in total. Between 1987 and 1989, Jackson starred in Bad World Tour, one of the most massive concerts in aid of the last decades, running on different continents (America, Asia and Europe), whose most memorable performances, among others, would be in Wembley stadium in London, and in Yokohama in Japan, respectively.

Up to nine of the ten compositions (apart from Leave Me Alone) became singles, with the sole exception of Just Good Friends. In this LP, Jackson hobnobbed with such influential artists as Stevie Wonder, Siedah Garrett, the guitarist of Billy Idol (Steve Stevens), among others. Much of the success was due to the use of the formula of excellent short films, continuing the tradition started from Off the Wall, as, for example, the video inspired for the song Bad on the subway in New York, The Way You Make Me Feel, live performances of Dirty Diana, Another Part of Me and Man in the Mirror, or a couple of them delivered in the film Moonwalker (Leave Me Alone and, above all, Smooth Criminal, one of his best repertoire ever seen).

On this album, Michael Jackson showed a radical makeover unlike his previous work, resulting in a musical style which became more adult and mature, being the third and final episode of the collaboration between producer Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson, because the singer claimed a higher dose of creative freedom.

Graphically, I will evaluate the tracks of Bad, on a scale with reference to the global average of the album (5 out of five stars), placing first the most exceptional, and in the last position, the less prominent, according to my musical criteria (in fact, it's such a difficult matter and extremely difficult to discriminate between songs which took part in a exceptional album like this that I might be wrong):
Leave Me Alone*, Smooth Criminal, Man in the Mirror, Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, Dirty Diana, Another Part of Me, Speed Demon/AVERAGE of 'Bad'/I Just Can´t Stop Loving You, Just Good friends, Liberian Girl.
