- Edited 11 months agoThe two or three first years of the 2010s saw the return of "classic" and warm deep house. First signs of a decade that invented nearly nothing, and started being obsessed by the retro brought by hipsters. Way less audacious and revolutionary compared to the cutting-edge/clicky/micro sounds of the 2000s, the 2010s, however, gave also birth to solid artists like John Roberts. His legendary album "Glass Eights" is for me perhaps the best thing that ever happened to this early 2010s vibe, because it is crafted with a genius, elegant and timeless sound design. Essential.
- "Pruned" is on the Mirror 12". This happens quite frequently that a track doesn't fit on the LP due to time constraints and is then available on an accompanying single.
- I love this album, but i really do not understand why one of the best tracks (in my opinion) of it, "Pruned", is not included on the vinyl version.
