- Edited 17 years agoThis is one of those albums that proves that rap truly is an art form. Of course we all know that, but even the biggest naysayers of the genre couldn't possibly listen to this album and not walk away wanting to wish everyone a "peaceful journey." The vocals from the Boyz and from guests like Johnny Gill, K-Ci & JoJo, Aaron Hall are flawless, as is D.'s delivery. To boot, the songs are positive (vs. the growing 'gangsta lean' mentality of the time that continues on to this day), the producers are all top-notch.... and Heavy & the Boyz managed to get two huge hits out of this ("Now" and "Good") -- both on the R&B charts and the pop charts -- the album went platinum AND... they didn't lose their hardcore.
Not bad for a peaceful journey through such a violent world.
