- Edited 5 years agoWe're touching the stars here guys. Another of Simon's Berry finest works.
THIS is why I love electronic music. Atmospheres, landscapes, imaginary worlds, tribal roots being depicted with sound waves.
The original has a melody that is unique and never experienced elsewhere. Those breaks, little animal sounds, acid lines...
The remix from the lord Hoffmann is also a pure gem that goes even deeper and with a wider range of emotions (it's incredible how this man can mix two extremes in one track). The melody has an extra melancholic feeling that is really hard to describe with words. It's probably one of the most beautiful I ever heard, it deals with something very close to redemption and salvation. Essential trance record for your soul. - Edited 4 years agoIf you loved Art of Trances use of animal samples ie dog barks in "Seadog" for example then you would dig this release, Easter Island utilizes an "Owl hooting" to great effect, these little touches together with high pitched bird call effects helps create a mystical atmosphere and it was Simons talent at doing this that makes his tracks stand out as real trance classics.
- Edited 6 years agoAnother of my favourite acid progressive trance tracks
Sheer musical orgasm really
The original mix is a tad progressive acid trancer with the trademark Simon woofs and bleeps - A phantasmic acid line and the constant breathing of track simplicity ........................... A+
I miss Simon's days before he sold out - He was a true master !
Also Matthias Hoffmann AKA Cygnus X one of my all time favorite artists who people idiotically forget in these days of online trend and have absolute ignorance to musical resonance and production - Ooooh Look at me - and listen to my music which has been reproduced online a hundred times :) Anyway rant over :)
the remix is a fantastical travellers journey
Just listen and if you have the cash feel Pascua on that island and change your life :)
Argue if you want to but you have no chance of retribution
Pure musical artistry
