- A bit disappointing that the "hype sticker" on the cover is actually not a sticker at all...but printed directly on the cover! Not sure why that decision was made... The records sound good. Any limitations in the sound quality are almost certainly inherent in the original recording. I've been critical of BBE's decision to press many of their reissues as double 45 RPM's, when the sound quality simply doesn't justify it (IMO); however, in this instance, since the album is 50+ minutes in length, the format gives it a bit of extra breathing room. The last song, "Lush Life," is a bonus track that was not on the original LP. The sound quality of this one is significantly worse than the rest of the album.
Side 2 of my copy was pressed significantly off-center, and I've also got some fairly severe inner groove distortion towards the end of that side. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
