2nd Album from 1994. I like to refer to their first three albums as the holy trinity.
      Incunabula - 1993 - Holy Father
      Amber - 1994 - Holy Son
      Tri Repetae - 1995 - Holy Spirit
If you are not a member of the church of electronic music yet, please, check these out and you will turn into a believer. Autechre heals. Big Time!

It amuses me how Tri Rep is considered by many to be their masterwork. It is Very Very good - but it is not this. This album is on its own level as one of the most unique and best in all electronica, from the genre's origins to the present. I don't understand how the group themselves don't seem to see this - most Ae fans that I've talked to personally agree.

One of the best albums of all time. With "Glitch" Booth/Brown named a genre inside IDM that would become standard a couple of years later.

Thank god the Brits had some decent distribution for Warp and Apollo back in the 90s because here in the US even in the 90s you would NOT hear music as good as this on our shit radio stations! Amber and their debut release where two albums that even in 2018 I frequently return to. Amber could be considered a mellower twin to the rhythmic Incunabula. Its softer yet still rhythmic but less bottom and more along the atmospheric side of techno ambient. No jagged moments just free flowing and celestial stuff. Thank you WARP for your pioneering output of quality electronica!

Another Autechre release I bought from Cob Records and it was great to hear this album especially after seeing them live at the Leadmill (with The Sabres of Paradise and LFO) just one month before. This album continues on from Incunabula but with a darker tone than what they had previously released. A classic album in a year of many great releases from Warp Records.

The album that Ae themselves have seemed to disavow, and unfortunately so. Sweeping, giving +music+ that never grows old. I love the next few albums, but they are now a cold shell of their former selves. This is a masterpiece.

This album evokes the transcendental musical moments I first experienced in my youth. Powerful use of silence with pin point precision of sound. These two artists were on top of the world or the universe for that matter when this released. The bridge between the melodic ambient electro sound of their past to the forward experimental compositions that break through the genre of electronica into synthetic realities that would soon take over most of music today and tomorrow. Powerful release and stunning album artwork. Vinyl worthy all the way..........................................................................................................................

I belong to this group which strongly prefers the "musical" period of Autechre, as time has shown a short period. It's been 24 years since the release of this record, and I still regret that the guys did not go that way ... It's a pity...

An all time favorite for me. Got it back in 1994 on CD and still listen to it. Never gets old.
