The attention to detail in this pressing is simply awe-inspiring. Every instrument and vocal comes to life with astonishing clarity, immersing you in a world of sonic bliss. The soundstage is expansive, allowing each element to breathe and occupy its own space, creating a captivating and immersive listening experience.
This pressing elevates the music to a whole new level. The warmth and depth are unparalleled, giving the tracks a rich and textured quality that is truly breathtaking. The low end is punchy and tight, the highs shimmer with crystalline brilliance, and the midrange is perfectly balanced, allowing the nuances of the music to shine through.
The dynamic range is nothing short of impressive. The soft moments are delicate and intimate, while the soaring crescendos hit with explosive impact, drawing you into the emotional journey of the album. Meticulously mastered and pressed with such quality, every note is reproduced with utmost fidelity.
This 1st UK pressing of Abbey Road stands as a testament to the enduring power of The Beatles' music and the artistry of the recording process. Whether you're a dedicated fan or an avid audiophile, this pressing is an absolute must-have for its extraordinary sonic fidelity, leaving you in awe of the immersive musical experience it delivers. A Sonic Masterpiece!
- I have come across a copy of a (must be rare) mispressing of this version where the text have been omitted from Side 1. I can't find a listing for this mispressing here. I found a minor amount of recorded Ebay sales (2 of them) of copies similar to mine found here:
https://www.popsike.com/The-Beatles-Abbey-Road-UK-1969-1st-Press-Apple-LP-Rare-BLANK-SIDE-1-LABEL/113667797423.html
And also a blank Side 2 copy found here: https://www.popsike.com/Beatles-Abbey-Road-LP-UK-Import-Very-Rare-Blank-Label-Misprint/350616480495.html
Like one vender puts it: "I can't understand how this got past quality control". - This pressing is POWERFUL with all the air, shimmer, and punch! The sound is just explosive yet perfectly balanced. I have an original US press and the new remix, this stomps over both of those. The original US copy still sounds pretty good and was my reference copy, however this -2/-1 UK is leagues better in my opinion. The soundstage is so real and immersive, what an experience to listen to.
- Edited 3 months agoA true masterpiece of a pressing. This is exactly how Abbey Road should sound. It's warm, clear, and rich with the perfect amount of bass. Everything in the mix is where it needs to be.
- What a spectacle to listen to. A beast of a record full with lustre and punch. I own some copies of this album (my favorite Beatles) but never heard it this good as with this pressing. Very very impressed!
- Totally smokes the MFSL, Japanese EAS flag series, etc. 1st UK pressing -1/-2 cut is the only way to roll! 👍
- This sounds absolutely vibrant, explosive, and fantastic!!! I also own Australian late 70’s, Blue Box, US Capitol purple, newer reissues etc. Never heard it like this!!
- Hi there, my copy seems to be the "firet label, revised cover"-version, but has a slightly different runout Matrix YEX.749 - 4 and YEX.750 - 3.
I couldn`t find another release with this number. Is anyone there who can give me a hint?
