Picked this up on release after being won over by Rose Clouds (the superior sibling). A soothing, dark joy. Dædalus Rising is the first crack of real genius here, proof that both Pierce and Tibet needed each other to make some of their best work. The whole record is top notch though and the pressing sounds great.

Interested to buy that in a price even somewhat more reasonable than the 300-400 euro range.

Wish Drastic Plastic would reissue this with Ryan K Smith mastering and Stoughton jackets.

Can anyone provide insight as to why the recent official cassette version as well as the Spotify/digital versions omit Dædalus Rising?

Interesting that some of these songs are reworked versions of songs composed by Jim Jones' Peoples Temple Choir that are not credited: https://www.discogs.com/Peoples-Temple-Choir-Hes-Able/master/175437

DIJ's music is so incredibly hit and miss for me, and yet, when it succeeds at what it sets out to do, it reaches pinnacles of beauty untouched by most other post-industrial and neofolk projects.

This album is one such pinnacle: the penultimate one, in fact.
To talk further about this milestone would be a disservice. One risks covering its own simplicity and beauty with artifice. Just go listen.

Do all of the gold CD's have disc rot? Everyone I know and have read who have this edition has rot. Sucks!
