Reviews
- Another entry needs created for the Canadian GZ pressings.. Unfortunately my copy was pressed there, not at Optimal in Germany.
- This release sounds great. Don't get bogged down with with the digital transfer and any negativity that people want to spin on it, I don't think most people leaving there two cents even understand what is taking place to make these records. I'm not sure I do, but if it sounds great on my system, I'm good with that. What are you buying it for anyways?
- I prefer this 2022 release over the 2016 one. https://www.discogs.com/release/8422961-Guns-N-Roses-Use-Your-Illusion-II
Better separation and vocals are now imaging in the middle. Harshness in Vocals and some lead guitar are gone. - Update:
“Remastered for the First-Time Ever from High-Resolution 96kHz 24-bit Transfers from the Original Stereo 1/2-Inch Analog Master Tapes”.
We all knew it was a digital remaster (even with the sleazy gimmicks used on the hype sticker to mislead). For what it’s worth, my first pressing from 1991 sounds much better. I also had a pressing from 2016 I believe and it doesn’t sound much different than this release. Verdict is in, go for a first pressing. - Night and day difference from the 08 Geffen. Very little surface noise. Just a tiny bit muddy on the highs here and there, but otherwise sounds really good.
