Weird that I did not leave my opinion here, as this is one of my favourite albums, and a great bridge between the trip hop era, the "future jazz" thingies around the millennia and the broken beat that was shaping up. In the broken beat vibe, Goddess and Hindsight have similar elements (glorious keyboard work, loose syncopated rhythms, and actually a trip hop melody construction), and in the trip hop, the first half of the album delivers also gloriously with the necessary scratches and vocal loops, and funny sound effects like an imitation of a TIE fighter. And among the end Filtered Funk, just after Hindsight, not letting you catch any breath, which, yes, ties the downtempo breakbeat-y chilly stuff from the 90s with the developments of the 00s. Not very well known except by people that were looking into Waiwan after compilations, came across the album in second hand stores or just were curious enough.

Why was this his only release?

Gem of an album. A solid yet progressive reference point for the genre. Highly respected by those in the know.

Distraction is a kind of the album that will set you for a good mood in the day cool album coming from Waiwan. The first track i have heard in this album was coming from Mixmaster Morris Presents Abst "Goddess" then i got the entire album started enjoying Filtered Funk, Hindsight and The Deep it's a must have especially for breaks and Trip hop fans

Absolutely superb album, possibly the best beats album to come out of that late beat drenched 1990s, Goddess is one of my all time top ten tracks. This on the slighty faster BPM side of trip hop. Scratches by the great Tubby Grooves too, I saw a breaks set by him once too, down in ole Brixton, that was some mean brooding set. Again produced to perfection, highly recommended -flyjam records
