- My copy sounds great, looks great, thanks and because this was the fir FoW album I ever heard, it's a favourite of mine. Love that I have it on vinyl.
- Edited 2 months agoWasn't expecting to ever see this on vinyl as it was considered a disappointment after Welcome Interstate Managers but even if this is their weakest album, it's still four star material though it does suffer with Chris Collingwood contributing less here than other efforts (only 3 songs). I was excited to play this and while my copy has some slight surface noise (a good cleaning will likely take care of that), it has a nice soundstage and of course isn't as compressed as the CD which makes it a win. Real Gone has done a good job (other than the first run pressing debacle with Mexican Summer) with these and I am looking forward to Out of State Plates.
Listening on an ATLP120XUSB with an Audio Technica VM95ML cartridge. - Finally!!! Thrilled this exists. Packaging is nice - pretty straightforward. My copy is flat and sounds good. This is not what I would consider a “made for vinyl” kinda album in the first place, but they did a great job overall. More dynamic than I would’ve expected. I’m really happy that all of the FoW albums are on vinyl now. And, Out-of-State Plates coming soon is the cherry on top!
