- I’ve got some good news. I’ve spoken to Sony Music Europe and explained about the stutter issue on side A and C. They looked into it with their vinyl manufacturer and now agreed there is an issue. They are now looking at solving the issue. I assume they will repress it and offer an exchange. When I hear back I will let folks know.
- My god why would you want your album to sound this compressed and squashed?! The mastering on this version is terrible. How could anyone vouch for the integrity of their work on this? It's embarrassing. You can actually hear the compression working to inflate and then squash the volume. Whoever "remastered" this should never be let near any music again. I cannot get over how amateur is the work of this "mastering engineer" that makes it overly loud and overly compressed. As bad, if not worse than all of the abominable Dadwater "remasters" -- destroying the dynamics and making the sound worse than the original is not something to celebrate. Seriously after Dadwater and now THIS I have zero faith in Jarre's ears. What an appalling way to present ones work! There are extremely established reputable and experienced mastering engineers that would make Jarre's catalogue sound incredible, but no Jarre now repeatedly choses mastering engineers that destroy his work. I see no evidence here that Jarre cares how his work sounds at all, only evidence now that he doesn't care at all. Appalling, but not surprising from jarre these days.
- Terrible sound quality, but I expected / already read that.

Only bought it for the poster and to have a brand new sleeve with the great cover which I can put on the wall.
Still prefer my original weared out version, sounds way better on thin (< 180 grams) vinyl.
It is all about mastering which (again) sucks on this new version, no respect for the music :-(.
Even the inner sleeves are worse; pictures are too dark compared to the original ones. - Comes with sticker : 40th anniversary remastered edition of Jean Michel Jarre‘s Live Album

Including unpublished collectors poster (60cm x90cm) - Edited one month agoHmm … not sure if it’s just my copy but on sides A and C it sort of skips, stutters. Vinyl looks entirely clean with no physical damage. Really odd. Almost sounds like a digital stutter. Otherwise sounds OK. You’re probably better off tracking down a original pressing and skip this remaster.
