I want you to know (Vocal) is a classic to me. They used to play this in all the big clubs in NYC when I was clubbing back in 1991/92. This is what house is about. Very soulful yet danceable. Epic song in my eyes.

Victor Simonelli did some good sampling back in the days and had a distinctive sound. Some might say it's easy ... but this is really effective on a dancefloor. He also later produced some quality garage. BTW, B1 samples Don Ray's "Standing In The Rain".

This beautiful House EP is one of the early works by Victor Simonelli that (by the way) made use of some magnificent samples. Of course, the piano lines on "I Want You To Know" taken from the 'Soft House Company - What You Needed' are the first that will come into our mind, but we should not forget the vocals from Vincent Montana on Montana Sixtet's "Who Needs Ennemies (With A Friend Like You)". On the B Side, "Let's Groove It" has elements sampled from "The Night The Lights Went Out", classic tune from The Trammps released in 1977 of the III LP.

Blatantly yet beautifully samples piano riff from Soft House Company's "What You Need", driving over a solid deep-key bassline, and complimented with an infectious diva vocal-hook, carried under cheerfull, floating strings. An early yet legendary Victor Simonelli solo production!
