Wow! This pressing sounds phenomenal and is imho the proper way to listen to this album.

This is because only the 1993 pressing (and the 2000 reissue, which is allegedly even better) contain the FULL version of: "When You're Gonna Learn", "Too Young To Die" and "If I Like It, I Do It".
To me there is a reason why these songs are that long. The "jamming" aspect of Jamiroquai was very important to them during their acid jazz phase. It is in their band name for a reason. You will only experience their interplay, their jamming, their musical chemistry fully on these cuts.

The shortened versions, which were taken for all reissues, take too much of this away, which to me is a shame.

You can also see how much care the band put into this release. It has beautiful innersleeves, an impressive psychedelic gatefold drawing and top notch quality vinyl.
I have known these songs for years and the improvement over digital releases is big! This pressing brings out all the musicality of Jamiroquai, that makes this band so great: The bass, the percussion, the overall attack. It is pure analogue joy.

Highly highly recommended! You should try to get your hands on this pressing, because it will probably never be repressed in the kind of quality I've described. This is unless some audiophile label will get its hands on the original tapes like Simply Vinyl did in 2000.

I also have the 2017 reissue.
This pressing sounds more natural and reflects better Jamiroquai's music.

Didn't JK sack the bass player Stuart Zender and re-dub all the bass parts on the LP himself because Zender's girlfriend Mel Blatt had gone into labour during recording and he wanted to be with her in the hospital.... what a bellend JK is...🤣🤣

Mastered really nicely for an early 90s disc. Sounds more like my Acid Jazz LPs than a major label release - really dynamic with a sort of high fidelity live sound. The extended mix of Blow Your Mind is just lush :)

Classic! original extended versions, great sound / dynamics / pressing.
Doubt this original pressing will ever be surpassed.

Pretty much my favorite album ever. Glad I snagged it a few years back
