- My copy has an ugly scratch in the songs Jasco and around 30 seconds of Itsari, it looks like a signature actually, the record is playable nonetheless and the only downside is that during 2 and a half minutes there is a mild pop everytime the needle goes over the scratch. The live record had dirt that caused some pops as well, but I notice you could see like some grains stuck in the groove, so I took a toothpick, just a standard wooden toothpick, and with some pressure I managed to remove the stuck dirt, it played spotlessly afterwards. Sound is superb, a bit heavy low end but that's how I like it, rumbling, and the packaging is top notch heavy cardboard, I wish the LPs themselves were a bit heavier but that's just me being picky. In all and all great set, tho quality control wasn't putting that much attention while pressing these, a bit expensive for us europeans paying the extra import fees, this shouldn't cost over 100 euros imo.
- Edited 2 years agoAwesome looking box set, the Roots album is a little bass heavy, real thick heavy sound, doesn't sound very dynamic. The live at Ozzfest set suffers from digitization you can really hear it in the cymbals. Its a crushing live performance that brings me back to the days of collecting and trading live bootlegs.
