I can only say: WOW! Compared to my newly bought One Step MFSL this is as close as an original Analoge vinyl disc can get. The MFSL sounds a bit 'artificial' and 'digital' to my ears. Lacking the warmth and depth that the original release has. MFSL bad? Not at all, but if you have an analogue disc to compare, it makes you wonder....why these One Step discs are so expensive, offering not that "YeeeHaaa" feeling ;-)

I got lucky with this super clean and quiet copy. Sound is great, classic vinyl warmth while keeping airiness and detail.
I'm very happy for the $11 spent! I don't see myself going up the ladder for the 'grail' on this record, so this will suffice nicely!

I agree with the other reviewers -- I grew up hearing the title track on the radio, but the first time I spun this Speciality Records pressing I felt like I was hearing the song for the first time. The entire pressing has nearly three-dimensional sound. I can't imagine any modern pressing sounding nearly this good.

I still can´t find my exact version of my SP copy. A side matrix is exactly the same as this, but B side has LH on it:

            Side A, etched [STERLING & SRC logo, stamped]: 6E-103-A14 7̷E̷ ̷1̷0̷8̷4̷- A 14 SP [SRC Logo] \-2 "IS IT 6'O'CLOCK YET?" STERLING

            Side B, etched [STERLING & SRC logo, stamped]: [SRC logo] 7̶E̶ ̶1̶0̶8̶4̶ ̶B̶ - 1 RE SP \-3 6E 103 B "V.O.L. IS FIVE PIECE LIVE" STERLING LH

it also has 0798 written on spine (price code??), so similar also to Eagles - Hotel California, but hasn´t those "re" written like that...

Yet another budget audiophile record. The mastering work on these are superb as Sterling usually did on big releases of the mid 70s. Find yourself a US copy in NM condition by them, you wont be dissapointed, unless it suffers from groove wear. Preferably you should have somewhat of an idea of how the record has been treated over the years. The closer to the original the better, but as long as STERLING stamp runouts are involved it should be great.

              Equipment used:
Rega RP1 with Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge
              Cyrus 2 Amplifier
              System Fidelity SF-3050 tower speakers
              Custom made HQ speaker cables
