Sounds great. Nice vinyl, flat, clean, quiet. No worries. For an album that was apparently never recorded very well in the first place or that never sounded spectacular to begin with (though I question that) this pressing is perfectly fine. Was very impressed when I first put it on.
Judging from the other comments this is a gamble. The pressing sounds really great however the record is very dirty ive cleaned it maybe 4 times maybe more there's still gunk at every spin that distorts the noise A LOT on top of that there is a recurring buzzing and dragging on side 2 not recommend
I don't understand some of the complaints regarding the soundstage here. To my ears, it is excellent. The use of an original mix probably helps matters. This is truly one of the best-sounding LPs in my collection, if not the best. I wouldn't recommend spending large amounts trying to get an original stereo pressing because, if I understand correctly, this LP contains the original mix anyway.
This sounds fantastic. No two ways about it. Much better than the original pressing back in '67. Mind you, back then we had ceramic cartridges with a conical crystal stylus that flipped around to play 78s. We didn't have a stereo set-up that cost more than one's house and these albums weren't really recorded for audiophiles. Playing this 2009 European Rhino pressing after listening to the godawful VMP mono press was GOLD to my ears even with a modest setup through a pair of mid-price cans. For what it is and when it was recorded: Brilliant.!
Buen prensado, sin fallos audibles. Escena amplia y con pegada. Muy satisfecho con la adquisición. Diría si la memoria no me la está jugando que en la línea de los lanzamientos de The Doors en vinilo siempre notables
It sounds pretty good, very good stereo separation and nice sound overall. Not exceptional, but not bad either. I really like the Electra inner sleeve.
It sounds great, but damn, I didn't know this would be an edited radio friendly version. They leave out the "high" in "she gets high" during the first track LMAO it just... doesn't hit the same. as the kids would say...
