Buen prensado, sin fallos audibles. Escena amplia y con pegada. Muy satisfecho con la adquisición. Diría si la memoria no me la está jugando que en la línea de los lanzamientos de The Doors en vinilo siempre notables

It sounds pretty good, very good stereo separation and nice sound overall. Not exceptional, but not bad either. I really like the Electra inner sleeve.

It sounds great, but damn, I didn't know this would be an edited radio friendly version. They leave out the "high" in "she gets high" during the first track LMAO it just... doesn't hit the same. as the kids would say...

I may have been lucky but my copy sounds absolutely great. I also had the Mono version and the pressing was so terrible that I had to return it.
If you have a tight budget this is the version to get!

I am really not sure why there are so many mixed reviews. I purchased this for around $20 CAD and the sound is very good.

I did not get a chance to compare this to any other versions except hi fi streaming. The space, dynamics and soundstage is so evident and much better than what I have heard on any digital format.

Even though this is from a digital source, this is a really great sounding record esp for the price. Please do not hesitate esp if you are on budget.

The Doors' debut has never been in the running for favourite Doors album for me (my third favourite band). It features some of the most forward looking and radically original songs and performances I've heard in pop, culminating in an absolutely jaw dropping piece, but it's undermined by some of the band's weakest tracks - ones that sound quite of their time (I Looked at You, Soul Kitchen, Twentieth Century Fox and to a lesser extent, Take It as It Comes). The recording was also greatly improved on subsequent albums, although I appreciate its low-fi vibe.

As for this pressing, I think it sounds pretty great. I've heard rips and CDs of the most highly acclaimed versions of this album and I think this holds up fairly well. Regardless, it's a totally enjoyable sound in its own right. It has great space and The End was an absolutely jaw dropping experience as John Densmore's drums smacked me right in the face and the band surrounded Jim's vocal in the room. Stunning. The bass also comes through mostly when you need it to, such as on Twentieth Century Fox and Take It as It Comes. I have sibilance issues with other typically non-problematic albums on my setup, but I didn't have any here despite the complaints. No distortion either.
I'm satisfied with this pressing of the album.

A realese where the quality of the music and sound, is so eleveted that we forget the simplicity (lack) of this edition bonus material. But hey! why should it be different for the price. We get the most important :MUSIC AND SOUND QUALITY.

Don't waste money on the vintage pressings trashed up by being played hundreds of times at parties. This pressing is cheap and it has a wonderful sound. If you want to go mono there is also that variant.

I think this one is just not very well recorded in the first place. "The-mono-and-what-do-we-do-with-stereo?"-days.

So… currently we have 14 negative reviews against 35 positive ones. On the top of that, the album’s score is 92% of 5 stars (over 2K ratings). I’m listening to my copy rn which has a made in germany sticker on it and I’m really enjoying it.
