Reviews
- This is a fine eclectic mix of gabber and hard house/techno. There are tracks on this compilation from Mokum, Terror Trax, Ruffneck, Dataflow, Midtown and others. Overall it represents the scene at the time pretty well, plus you get the total classic Here's Johnny to boot - and Rob Gee in his Riot Nation guise. This was gold dust if your local record shop was like mine and pretty random what gabber and nastiness it got in: "anything over 170 bpm doesn't sell mate". I can tell from the state of the vinyl this is one well played album! A real gem.
- This is a staple the 90's hard techno movement.Shockingly fresh to this very day! We had this on vinyl when it first came out but throughout the hard hazy nights we lost it.
The track 'Here's Johnny' by Hocus Pocus was very popular in the UK hardcore rave scene.
Igor - 'Talking about God' samples a frantic Dale Harding in scene from the legendary 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest'
The rest of the tracks are hard, different and prejudice free. There was a follow up called...Technohead 3 which I felt was really fast and very dark.
