Show All 18 Reviews- As others said this sounds amazing! Mine is badly warped though. VMP sent me a replacement and it's even worse...
- I don't own any other pressings of this record, but I have listened to this album often on other formats (tape, CD, lossless streaming) over the years and this record really blew me away. I have never heard this album sound so good.
- This one's a winner. The cymbal crashes on 'Hell in a Bucket' startled me out of my damn chair. Glad to own this late era Dead album in such high fidelity.
- I own several first pressings of this album and this version blows them away. Chris Bellman, no doubt.
Regarding the sleeves that VMP uses, I also hate them and I replace them with Vinyl Storage Solutions sleeves. I cut the hype sticker off the original and tuck it inside the new sleeve. Works great - Sounds great, but while the jacket is sturdier than my original the cover art is fuzzy like a low resolution pic compared to the original and card stock inner instead of poly lined. Again this definitely sounds amazing great separation between instruments.
- Edited one month agoAs stated, outstanding sound. I will reiterate here that VMP should stop: 1. Using cardboard sleeves, they are so difficult and 2. Might be just me but I hate their seal top outer sleeves, not easy to reuse with the album. If it weren’t for the hype sticker I’d trash them
