haha talk about 'I'd literally stab someone to get this on 3xLP Vinyl'' but yes this is the ultimate Jungle wishlist for vinyl compilations!
DJ Hype delivers another killer album as per usual but that's the trademark of a true perfectionist. This album is a must for any drum & bass beginner or those who are familiar with the music, the scene and are OAP's to it so to speak and have liked it for decades. This album is full of oldskool jungle classics and d&b tunes which everybody by now must have heard at some point in their lives. This album delivers a trip down memory lane and goes back to drum & bass's important roots and if were not for it's roots then drum & bass today might be dead or never have existed to start with. DJ Hype on this album brings us so many good tunes from the likes of Krust to Shy FX, a good mixture of jungle slammers and classics... This album represents the early progression of drum & bass and takes you back to the good old days. Brilliant tunes by one of the D&B scenes best DJ's.. Great album.

FANTASTIC 2 CD mix. Faultless mixing and scratching. DJ Hype was probably THE best DJ of the jungle era, and in my opinion DEFINATELY the best scratcher... These CDs contain ALL the best tunes from the mid nineties and I would highly recommend this to anyone :)

If I had to cut my collection down to a single D&B release then it would have to be this.
Just look at that tracklisting, It may be all Anthems but that means there are no fillers! Hype's scratching adds to the mix without overpowering it.
Everytime the advert came on TV I had to force myself not to start dancing!

What a compilation!!!! It far exceeded any expectations I had placed on it before I bought it by a mile. Originally, I sought this mix out simply for a couple songs on it, but I was blown away by Hype's brilliant mixing and the overall track selection is one of the best I've seen on any mix compilations I own. Normally I don't go for a cd filled completely with anthems but in this case, I'll make an exception. It features a good mixture of Jump Up Drum & Bass and several selections that would be considered more of the "Intelligent Drum & Bass" genre. Whatever it is, I love it!
