- A nice clean sound with excellent packaging.
Unfortunately, as is becoming normal, it looks like the factory they have been packed in
don't have particularly high standards.
Bits of off-cut cardboard and plastic within the plastic seal. Luckily in this case they haven't damaged the vinyl. - Digitally mastered & then pressed on vinyl , no analogue at all . Could be Ok .
Why pressed on vinyl , when digitally mastered ? One answer - vinyol is now in
& xtra chance to make some money ! - Edited 2 years agoI'm blown away by this release. Amazing concept - global female vocal reggae album with contributions in Hindi, Mandarin Chinese, Yoruba, Arabic, Tigrinya etc. And then there's the music. Superb production as you'd imagine from Adrian Sherwood, plus songs and emotions and vibrations of the highest energy and deepest feeling. I'm especially struck by Rita Morar's "Meri Awaaz Sumo" (funky!), Kerieva's "Chavale" (violin!), and JaGodDa's "Krysztalowy Aniol" (soulful!). But it's all good. Plus you get a beautiful 12" booklet of paintings of female liberation icons by artist Peter Harris. Quite amazing
