Reviews
- For me it's all about the Jimpster remix here, which has a very nice flow and atmosphere. It has a veeery slow, groovy breakbeat, warm & spacey repeating synth-stabs and a funky rhodes coming in later. The remaining remixes are ok, but bear no surprises except maybe for the changing mood in the Plaid mix. It starts with a rather dark spaced-out electro feel and a very Metroplex/Cybotron/Model 500 sounding bassline but almost exactly at the half the track begins to sound much more warm, uplifting & funky.
- Edited 19 years agoAll of the mixes here are great, but my favorite is the Frederic Galliano mix. It is like walking into a tunnel of sound, only to be carried out on the backs of bongo playing cheetahs, strolling along at a lesiurely pace. All the while, Alan Watts is hovering next to you chatting you up with some trancendental advice, occasionally getting his tounge caught in the sampler.
