Potentially exciting news on the horizon...the boss of the very highly rated reissue label Intervention Records has expressed an interest in doing a vinyl repress, according to a comment he posted on the Steve Hoffman audiophile forum. Let's hope it becomes a reality sooner rather than later because Sony don't seem interested in repressing the Art Vinyl version. Fingers crossed for a quality pressing that is readily available.

Does anyone know if the Plain vinyl reissue is another one of its notorious CD rips?

This band would merit beatification purely on the basis of having recorded the song 'Ladies and gentlemen....'
This is a song without compare. Any brilliance the 90s had is contained within this song. It is 'God only knows' with a touch of ecstasy and heroin - absolutely gorgeous. Brian Wilson, if he could still reason, would adore this song.
The Elvis version of it was apparently castigated by the Presley mafia, but it the greatest tribute anyone has ever paid to the King.
Jason Pierce is a genius for this one song alone.
It's hilarious to think that, at the time, the braindead British were frothing over who was better - Blur or Oasis (MOR pish) or was it the Verve (ha ha)?
Fuck it, i'm off to listen to it again
