Reviews
- After many years I find that for me Kulma is the most revisited Pan Sonic album. Probably it's because of the clear and abundant narrative diversity. While early works were a bit shy from narrative perspective and later works slowly dragged it as a tradition (say, every Pan Sonic album since Kulma should have had touchy intro and at least two abstract ambient pieces, one of which eventually crashes into grindy industrial which startles you to death). Compared to that, Kulma clearly stands out as a bold storywise statement which defined subsequent work by both Finnish duo and Vainio/Vaisanen solo projects.
- concrete music without samples.
trains, factories, cars, machines.
it's all there.
excellent and essential.
