...any layabouts still remembering the hep grooves of acid rock / avant wiring put out by these hippy boffins (Cork Marcheschi is the main visionary here) will know that any biscuits by them will be worth checking and they won't be disappointed with this hep slab...being knocked out in the mid 90s could have led to disastrous beat driven / programmed laziness like so many older practitioners who come back and get mixed up in things that ain't 'like it used to be in my day', put out gear that's no use to no one...this has got a total smearing of mid Seven Ohs Kosmichemusik/hep Euroavant goings on strong and with this comes a very nice Joe Byrd/USA topping that's just incredibly spaced out temporal unbalancing comes on mighty fine as the side moves on into stranger territory ...with all this flipcity distortion come a landscape that resembles nothing less than a fifties B movie full of monsters both real and imaginary deep into alien black and white mystic graininess...more than once in among the visions appearing before the eyes a massive room shaking power electronics blast issues forth and demands a chance to be heard ('n felt)...a couple times, mostly on the last track the' old San Francisco acid groove pops up(corks somehow also found the link between 67acidrock and 76drugrock from Cleveland such as Pere Ubu / Mirrors / Tin Huey as this plays as authentic time and place definer although neither are in textural reality but is a perfect example in contextual reality...this is beaming' in from times/places/situations unknown 'n the listener can only appreciate the' greatness of this trip, the importance of this portal of desirous escape to a land where smoked up bohemian layabouts sit and laugh at the squaredads going about doing as they're told consuming their own departure from a reality that is not of their own making, but is fast outpacing the old time tested idea / confidence trick of hyper reality beloved of desperate new wave sci-fi peddlers...a goodly waste of an afternoons vibrations and indeed any time at all when the adventurous move in secret circles of insane belief...connection with the void is assured and the guarantees don't need to be written as the trip is on and going...
