The title track, Drums Are Dangerous, is quite an extraordinarily complex piece of music for its genre. Purposely out-of-key adding layers of acid, didgeridoo, and a myriad of interesting melodies and rhythm. There are other mixes of this track, but this one is a classic. Sadly, it is not often available on streaming services in its full seven-and-a-half minute version.

A true pinnacle of the ambient techno sound of 1993-1995. Drum Club was one of my most favorite electronic acts of that time. This album showcases all that and more. Their wide-ranging appeal is full bloom. The acid house tribal ambient tinged 'drums are dangerous' with the epic vocals of "everyone knows, rhythm and water flows...drums are dangerous". 'Crime Pays' introduces the dub to album. I think one of the keys to this album is none of the songs really exceed 125 BPM if I'm not mistaken. Lends itself to being timeless. Of course the sounds are very 1994 but thats part of the classic feel. This is as a close to being a hippy for me. The closest I would ever get to a burning man. The idea of it for 1994 ideally would be playing this album. Or Astralasia, PWOG, Exquisite Corpse or the like. This is almost ideal UK trance of me. Deeper and more tribal than Leftfield. Never as cheesy as Underworld. Embracing dub was a big reason for that. Hence most of their remixes related to Drum Club having some sort of more infused dub elements and names to the mixes. The highlight for the album for me is the back to back tracks of Delushed and Rock n Roll is Dead. Euphoric to say the least. And also 'Reefer' which is a great buildup track to those 2. While the first album had perhaps more songs to like individually, I always come back to this album more. Its more of a good listen all the way thru. 3.94 rating at the time of this comment. Easily should be in the 4.3-4.5 range.
