The devilfish version is great, but McLauchlan's own remix is pure magic. It is equally at home in a bangin techno set or a prime time house set. Even by 2000 it was rare to see a track that could fit in both places seamlessly. It's 2022 and this EP has lost none of its steam.

The Devilfish Love Story surely has the most energy. But what is absolutely amazing is the re-edit version. This is just close to perfection in terms of hypnotic, melodic sampling. It´s overwhelmingly catchy. The piano is stretching out its hand to the listener and whispering "Just let go, come with me. Into a deeper world. Free your mind. Listen to me. Breathe. Dance!" Put a certain Bassdrum into the mix and your crowd will go nuts.

Anyone know from where that piano comes? Is that a sample or Andrew McLauchlan playing it?
The Re-Edit on this 12" is a killer track.

A classic techno tune no doubt! I really don't know what better to describe its impact and quality than taking a look at countless and endless hot DJ names that had this one spinning during any party's rush hour, so to speak.
For well over six months no decent club could make it throught the night without blasting "Love Story" at least once at max volume.
Ever since it came out, every self respecting DJ owns at least two copies of this crown jewel.

This record is and will remain classic forever! The track Love Story (Re-Edit) is the classic track here, this is some real good techno.
listen to that break! Very hard detroit lead synth in it, very nice! but what makes this record great is i think, the latin percussion and singing!
                  love this!

What a fantastic record this is. Every now and then a record comes along that transcends the styles of many DJs and club nights. This techno record builds and builds percussively and then breaks into a latin break that does the business in every club i've heard it in. I remember Dave Congreve and Kelvin Andrews playing this week-in, week-out at The Bomb in Nottingham, UK. A classic techno record that will be remembered for many years.
