A great follow up the the first album. Just as strong in my opinion. A perfect example of an album from the CD age that should be reissued on vinyl. In fact the entire catalog. Powerful music.

Online reviews are conflicted, which may discourage new listeners. But, while not as critically acclaimed as Revival, Hell Among The Yearlings has left fans of Welch and Rawlings sated and eager for their third release. Personal favorites are: My Morphine, Honey Now (a bit of her old Surf Rock band days), I'm Not Afraid To Die, Rock Of Ages.
